BENEFITS FOR STUDENTS
The programme offers participating students the opportunity to simultaneously earn two degrees upon graduation – a degree from their home university and a degree from a participating Slovak university.
The programme provides a unique combination of quality education with real-life experience as participating students have the opportunity to undertake a mentored IT-oriented internship in a renowned company in Slovakia during their studies.
If students commit to the entire length of the programme, i.e. final year of studies in Slovakia and then a two-year employment contract, partner companies offer a scholarship covering costs like tuition, accommodation and living allowance up until graduation.

...and this is MY experience.
Pleased to meet you! I'm...
I really wanted to start an IT career in Europe. I was also interested programming itself, so the interview with the companies was pretty easy. I am currently completing my studies at a Slovak university and also undertaking an internship at an IT department of a Slovak bank. The biggest benefit of the programme is that we are surrounded by so many people who are ready to help you with any problem. I’m very pleased with both the university and my colleagues.

...and let ME tell you why to apply.
How do you do? My name's...
The programme gave me an opportunity to change my life and start a professional career in an EU member state. The biggest benefit of the programme was that the provided scholarship covered the costs of studying and living in Slovakia. My expectations for the internship were more than fulfilled. Both the university and the company I undertook my internship in supported me in all situations.

HOW IT WORKS
The first year of study within the framework of the programme is conducted at your university in Ukraine in accordance with the joint study programme curriculum. During the first year of study, participating students are offered online Slovak language and programming courses in line with the requirements of participating companies.
The programme is open to bachelor graduates. The selection is organized via regular admission at the participating Ukrainian university. Following the admission process, applicants are required to send their application, CV (resume) and a copy of their bachelor degree to the Slovak university.
The final selection of students for the programme takes place at the end of the first year of study. The main criterion for selection is the student's motivation. As part of the selection process, students will take a programming proficiency (Java) test and a basic Slovak language proficiency test. Furthermore, the students will have an online interview with the partner companies providing scholarships within the framework of the programme.
After completing the first year of study within the framework of the programme and successfully completing all organizational stages, the students will travel to Bratislava for summer school courses, which help them prepare for both their studies at the Slovak university and their internship at a partner company. During the course of two months, students will undertake intensive courses of programming (Java) and the Slovak language. During summer school, students also apply for a residence permit with help from the Slovak university.
Upon graduation, the students receive two master degrees – a degree from their home university and one from the university in Slovakia. After obtaining her or his degree, students have the opportunity to obtain a two-year employment contract in the company that sponsored their participation in the programme.
The second year of study within the framework of the programme will take place in Bratislava. During this second year, students will also simultaneously undertake an internship in a partner company.
